MYSIA. Kyzikos. Circa 550-450 BC. Hekte (Electrum, 11 mm, 2.71 g). Forepart of a ram to left; behind, tunny upward. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. BMFA -, cf. 1420 (stater). Hurter & Liewald II, 46.2 = Jameson 2166 = SNG von Aulock 1175. SNG Paris -. Von Fritze I, -, cf. 46 (stater). Very rare in this denomination, and in exceptional condition for the issue, arguably the finest known example. The reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, good extremely fine.
